Frequently Asked Questions
What types of lighting do you rent?
Bridge Studio rents LED, HMI, Kino Flo, tungsten, and strobe lighting fixtures, along with a full range of modifiers including softboxes, Chimera, Octabox, strip lights, and lanterns. View our complete equipment catalog for the full list with pricing.
Can I rent just one light or do I need a full package?
You can rent individual fixtures — there’s no minimum. Whether you need one LED panel for a small shoot or a full lighting package for a commercial, we’ll accommodate your needs.
Do you deliver lighting equipment to location?
Yes. For on-location productions, our grip truck can deliver lighting and grip equipment to your shoot location in the Richmond area and throughout central Virginia.
What’s the difference between LED and HMI?
LED fixtures are versatile, energy-efficient, and offer tunable color temperature and RGBW color mixing. They run cool and can be battery-powered. HMI fixtures produce much higher output with a fixed daylight (5600K) color temperature — they’re ideal when you need maximum power to match sunlight or light large areas.
Can I rent lighting with the studio?
Absolutely. Combining lighting rental with studio rental is our most popular option. You get the space and the gear in one seamless package. Book the studio and add whatever lighting setup you need.
Do you offer multi-day rental discounts?
Contact us for multi-day and weekly rates. We’re flexible and happy to work with your production schedule and budget.
How do I know which lights I need?
Describe your production to us — what you’re shooting, the location, the look you’re going for — and we’ll recommend the right fixtures. You can also browse our full equipment catalog for specifications and pricing.
Is grip equipment available to support the lights?
Yes. We have a full grip equipment inventory including C-stands, combo stands, overhead frames, flags, sandbags, and rigging hardware — everything needed to support, shape, and control your lighting setup.
What power requirements do the lights have?
Power requirements vary by fixture. LED panels typically run on standard 120V circuits. HMI fixtures (especially 800W and above) may require dedicated circuits or generator power. We have Honda generators available for location shoots without sufficient power. Contact us to discuss your power needs.
